Gary B., an Army veteran from Fort Walton Beach, FL. Gary joined OHP this summer, and although his time with us was brief, it was transformative. Thanks to our team and the support of Amanda from the V.A., Gary was able to find a new home in Mobile, Alabama.

Gary expressed his gratitude, saying that Amanda and Liz, our Shelter Supervisor, were his “angels.” Reflecting on his experience, he mentioned looking forward to “getting back to life” through crafting wallets and change pouches—a testament to his resilience and creativity.

We are delighted to see Gary so happy and wish him all the best on this new chapter of his life. His story is a powerful reminder of the impact that compassion and community support can have.
